InstallFree Products Overview

Industry Buzz

"InstallFree takes its name seriously and requires no installed components to practice its brand of application virtualization, a key differentiator from app virtualization offerings from such competitors as Microsoft, Citrix Systems, Novell, VMware and Symantec."

InstallFree Virtual Applications

InstallFree Virtual (IFV) Applications are at the core of InstallFree's unique and fresh approach to application virtualization. They offer secure, self-sufficient and modular virtual applications that are easily created and maintained, while offering the end-user a continuous and rich user experience across multiple computing platforms and scenarios. This includes having admin-like privileges from within his/her applications even when working under a limited or guest account, enabling IT Departments to keep their PCs in a safe locked-down mode without imposing harsh computing restrictions on the users.

Features:

  • No installation required
  • Encapsulated with all the resources it needs to function independent of the host OS. Including: Registry, File System, DLL pool, settings, language-base and user account privileges
  • Does not require an installed client on the host
  • Secure, sandboxed and conflict-free
  • Complete intercommunication with virtual and non-virtual applications
  • Rich user experience across multiple computing platforms
  • Allows for admin-like privileges from within applications even when working under a limited or guest account
  • Consists of modular application elements(application, add-ons and updates) that bind at runtime
  • Works regardless of the host settings and components
  • Easily created and maintained

Architecture:

InstallFree Virtual (IFV) Applications consist of several separated layers that bind dynamically at the moment the virtual application is launched. The two main layers are: The IFV Engine which provides the IFV Application with all the resources usually provided by an underlying OS, and the Application AOD File - A single packaged file that includes all of the application's system and execution files.

IFV Application Layered Architecture – separate entities that bind at runtime
